Eligibility
To be eligible entrants must be between 8 and 18 years of age as at 31 December 2024.
Auditions
We invite entrants to submit their audition applications online using the online form on this page.
Awards are made at the St Cecilia Annual Concert which will be held at St Bernard’s Church.
Finalists selected by audition must attend the concert to be eligible to receive the scholarship (unless an unexpected event occurs).
Categories
There are four categories of scholarships. Senior Classical and Senior Contemporary, and Junior Classical andJunior Contemporary. Awards will normally be made for first, second and third in each category. Senior entrantsare aged 14 to 18 and Juniors are aged 8 to 13. Entrants may apply for an audition in either or both the Classicaland Contemporary category.
Where an entrant has been awarded first place in a category on two previous occasions, s/he is not eligible to beawarded first place in that category. S/he may enter another category and will be eligible to be awarded first place in that category.
Assessment
Performances will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:
- Tonal Control/Expression (25%)
- Technical Ability (25%)
- Presentation and Performance (25%)
- Stylistic interpretation (25%)
Applications
Applicants should complete an application using this online form, before 5:00pm on Friday 20th September, 2024.
Payment may be made by Direct Credit as detailed on the application form or cheque posted to PO Box 1059 Batemans Bay 2536.
Please note that late applications cannot be accepted.
