For many years Eurobodalla St Cecilia Music Scholarships has provided a tertiary scholarships program for participants proceeding to tertiary music study.
In 2018 Rotary Batemans Bay announced an annual grant to the Eurobodalla St Cecilia Music Scholarships to provide a scholarship of $1000 to a St Cecilia participant proceeding to tertiary music studies. The Scholarship is known as the David Harding Tertiary Music Award in honour of David’s many years of leadership as President of the St Cecilia Music Scholarships and his work as a Rotarian in support of youth.
Rotary allows ordinary people to achieve extraordinary things. And this has certainly been the case with their generous award of the annual David Harding Tertiary Music Award.
The first David Harding Award was awarded to Chloe Watts, a past participant in the annual St Cecilia Music Scholarship program. Chloe completed her HSC at St Peters College in 2016 and in 2018 commenced a Bachelor of Music Degree at the Sydney Conservatorium.
